Ouvrir un navigateur sur le display HDMI

bonjour tout le monde,
j'ai un RPI3 avec l'écran officiel 7" et j'ai connecté un second écran sur le port HDMI.
J'arrive bien a faire tourner une vidéo sur l’écran branché en hdmi en utilisant le paramètre --display=5

Par contre j'aimerai lancer chromium sur cet écran, mais je n'y arrive pas, le paramètre --display=5 n'est pas connu par chromium.
J'ai bien tenté de mettre ce paramètre dans le fichier /boot/config.txt mais sans succés:
VC_DISPLAY=5 chromium-browser
