strptime is a command-line tool for parsing dates and times from text files. It supports various formats. strptime is a Perl module that parses and formats dates and times into human-readable strings. strptime() accepts a date/time string and returns a formatted date/time string in the form MM/DD/YYYY.
%a - Abbreviated weekday name. (Sun, Mon, ...)
%A - Full weekday name. (Sunday, Monday, ...

%w - Weekday as a decimal number. (0, 1, ..., 6)
%d - Day of the month as a zero-padded decimal. (01, 02, ..., 31)
